The new race season kicked off at Daytona last month where I made my debut with a new brand of motorcycle for the first time in 4 years in Super Hooligans!
I had EDR Performance build up a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS for me.

It's a 3-cylinder engine as opposed to the twins I have been racing on, and it sounds wicked! At Daytona it proved to be more competitive of a bike than the KTM I was racing, and it was really easy for me to adapt to. I am really excited to get more time on the bike and do more races on it in the near future!

Overall Daytona was great. I rode well, despite a lack of confidence in some parts of the track due to the major crash I had there last year that honestly almost ended my career. Having a new race bike gave me something to be excited about and helped me focus in the right direction, instead of being not happy to be there or having some other negative outlook. I got 8th and 9th place finishes which didn't set the world on fire, but the competition is extremely stiff right now, and this was my first weekend with the new bike.
The class rules aren't super fair right now, so hopefully MotoAmerica and Super Hooligans will make the adjustments needed to balance the bikes in the class and make for better racing with all the brands. There was a lot of disparity at Daytona. Guys I would battle and beat before were so far ahead on the Harleys. But I am really excited for Atlanta in May. That is a track I've done well at in the past with a couple podiums in 2022 when I raced there last in Super Hooligans.
I can finally say I feel normal again. My leg is definitely still healing some, and I am going to notice the rod in my tibia forever, but it's not holding me back anymore. I feel amazing on the bike, and I even started riding motocross again! That was the real test, hucking some jumps to see how I felt. That 2nd surgery I had at the end of November was the right call. Feels good to actually be feeling good again and noticing improvement everyday!
